Grundfos TPE1000 and TPE2 Single-Stage Variable-Speed Vertical In-Line Pumps
I. TPE1000 Series Variable-Speed Pumps
Core Technology
Equipped with an electronically speed-controlled motor featuring an integrated variable frequency drive (VFD); supports a power range of 0.12–55 kW (single-phase: 0.12–1.5 kW; three-phase: 0.12–55 kW).
Utilizes Grundfos MGE permanent magnet motors (≤22 kW) compliant with the IEC 60034-30-2 IE5 energy efficiency standard; IE3, IE4, or IE5 motor options available for 30–55 kW models.
Control Modes
Supports various closed-loop control modes—such as constant pressure, constant differential pressure, constant temperature, constant flow, and constant liquid level—achieving precise regulation via external sensors.
Extended performance range: Optimized software allows for increased head and flow without changing the motor size (speed can reach 110% in certain operating conditions).
Structural Design
Based on the TP/TPD pump structure; the top-pull-out design facilitates maintenance, while the close-coupled design reduces installation costs.
Material options include cast iron, stainless steel, or bronze; shaft seals come standard as BQBE/BQQE (EPDM rubber bellows, silicon carbide seal faces).
Energy Efficiency and Comfort
Variable-speed regulation reduces energy consumption, adapts to fluctuating flow demands, and minimizes valve noise.
Supports wireless communication (GENIair) or wired connection (GENI) for multi-pump systems, controlling up to four pumps in parallel.
II. TPE2 Series Variable-Speed Pumps
Key Advantages
Permanent magnet motor with integrated VFD and optimized hydraulic components ensure higher efficiency (IE5 energy efficiency).
Flow range: up to 120 m³/h; maximum head: 25 m; operating pressure: 16 bar.
Smart Control
Factory default is constant curve control; switchable to differential pressure, temperature, flow, or liquid level control (requires external sensors).
Built-in FLOWLIMIT function restricts maximum flow (25%–90% of Qmax). Compactness and Durability
The pump housing and motor are quickly assembled using a clamp; the stainless steel version (Type I) is suitable for hot water circulation.
The mechanical shaft seal is of the BQQE type (silicon carbide sealing faces), with a temperature rating of -25°C to +120°C (up to 140°C for short periods).
Multi-Pump Coordination
Supports wireless/wired multi-pump communication for duty/standby or cascade operation without the need for an external controller.
III. Common Features
Applications: Heating, air conditioning, industrial circulation, water supply systems, etc.
Communication Interfaces: Supports Grundfos GO remote control and central management systems (requires CIU/CIM modules).
Protection: Electrophoretic coating for corrosion resistance; optional additional surface treatment available for high-humidity environments.
