Type
Submersible sewage pumps designed as complete submersible units, suitable for stationary and portable wet-well installation as well as stationary dry-pit installation.
Hydraulics
Discharge outlet features a horizontal flange connection. Maximum dry matter content: 8% (depending on hydraulics). Vortex impellers and single-channel impellers are used.
Motor
Surface-cooled AC and three-phase AC motors are used. For AC motors, the capacitor is housed in a separate control box. Depending on power output, starting methods include Direct-On-Line (DOL) or Star-Delta.
The motor is cooled by the surrounding fluid (liquid or air). Waste heat is dissipated through the motor housing.
The motor is capable of continuous submerged operation (S1). Depending on motor power, operating modes S1 (continuous), S2 (short-time), or S3 (intermittent) are possible.
Additionally, these motors are equipped with the following monitoring devices:
Motor chamber sealing monitoring: Signals are issued if water enters the motor chamber.
Motor thermal protection: Protects motor windings against overheating. Bimetallic sensors are standard. Additionally, the motor can be equipped with an external electrode to monitor the sealing chamber. This electrode sends a signal if water enters the sealing chamber via the medium-side mechanical seal.
The connection cable comes standard with bare ends, a length of 10 m, and is longitudinally watertight.
Seals
The sealing chamber, containing both medium-side and motor-side seals, is located between the motor and the hydraulic section; it is filled with medical-grade white oil. Sealing on both the medium and motor sides is achieved via two independent mechanical seals.

Commissioning
Wet-well installation with non-submerged motor operation:
The motor is capable of non-submerged operation. Depending on the motor's rated power, the operating time is defined by the parameters for "non-submerged operation mode." These specifications must be strictly observed!
Note on S3 intermittent operation: In S3 mode, the default maximum operating time is 2.5 minutes (S3 25%). If the motor is fully submerged for more than 1 minute before restarting—ensuring adequate motor cooling—the maximum operating time in S3 mode can be extended to 5 minutes (S3 50%)!
Maximum fluid temperature: 40 °C.
Dry-well installation:
Dry-well installation is supported. Depending on the motor's rated power, the operating time is defined by the parameters for "non-submerged operation mode." These specifications must be strictly observed!
Maximum fluid temperature: 40 °C.
Maximum ambient temperature: 40 °C (in accordance with EN 60335-1). Higher ambient temperatures are possible upon request.
Dry-running protection:
The hydraulic housing must remain submerged at all times. If the water level fluctuates, the unit must shut down automatically when the minimum submersion level is reached. Please refer to the dimensional drawing.
Horizontal installation:
Horizontal installation is not supported!
