Video Introduction

Function

The Wilo PW BOOST INITIAL is a high-performance domestic pump that integrates efficient self-priming, stable pressure boosting, and intelligent control; its core functions and design features reflect Wilo's extensive expertise in pump technology.

Superior Suction and Pressure Boosting Performance

The pump features powerful self-priming capabilities with a maximum suction lift of 7 meters, allowing it to automatically draw water from low-level sources (such as tanks or wells) and begin operation without the need for external priming. Designed for households with insufficient water pressure, it meets the boosting needs for both hot and cold water, effectively preventing temperature fluctuations (hot/cold spikes) during water heater use and ensuring a stable supply to multiple outlets simultaneously. With a maximum operating pressure of 8 bar and a wide head range, it significantly enhances water flow intensity and stability for daily activities like showering and hand-washing.

Robust Construction and Materials

High-quality materials are used for core components to ensure long-term operational reliability. The pump housing is made of cast iron, offering strength and corrosion resistance; the impeller is crafted from brass, ensuring excellent hydraulic performance and mechanical strength; and the shaft is made of stainless steel, enhancing wear and corrosion resistance to extend the unit's service life. Additionally, the advanced impeller design and dual-volute structure not only improve operating efficiency but also effectively reduce vibration and noise during operation.

Intelligent Control and Safety Protection

As a modern, intelligent water pump, it integrates pressure and flow switches, utilizing cross-verification of pressure and flow signals to intelligently control start/stop operations. This design effectively distinguishes between actual water demand and transient pressure fluctuations in the pipeline, preventing false activations. The unit is equipped with safety features such as motor thermal protection, overload protection, and dry-run protection; for instance, if a pressure drop is detected without a corresponding change in flow, the system intelligently identifies an external water supply interruption and automatically stops the pump to prevent damage from dry running. It supports both automatic and manual operating modes and includes a delayed-start mechanism to further ensure user safety.

Versatile Applications and Energy Efficiency

This self-priming pump is suitable for a wide range of domestic water supply scenarios, including mains water boosting, water heater pipeline pressurization, automatic water tank supply, water supply for multi-level homes, and even irrigation. It features a high-efficiency motor meeting national Grade 2 energy efficiency standards and utilizes an optimized hydraulic model to deliver energy-efficient performance. With Class F motor insulation and an IP44 protection rating, it operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C and handles fluid temperatures between 0°C and 100°C.
